Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can get away with. CnvMP3 works without an account, so there is no profile of you on our side. What does reach us is limited to:

• Basic device and app data — device model, Android version, app version, language and country. This tells us which devices to test against.
• Crash and performance reports — when the app stops unexpectedly, a diagnostic report helps us find the bug.
• Advertising signals — handled by Google AdMob, described in section 04.

Your search history is kept only on your device to make searching faster. It is never uploaded to us.

The limited data above is used for four things, and nothing else:

• Running the core features — playing, searching, trimming and downloading music.
• Diagnosing crashes and fixing performance problems.
• Showing ads, which is what keeps CnvMP3 free.
• Protecting the app from abuse and fraud.

Android asks your approval before CnvMP3 can do certain things. Here is each permission and the single reason we request it:

• Music and audio — to find the songs already on your phone and to save the ones you download. We read audio files; we do not read your documents or other personal files.
• Notifications — to show the playback notification with play, pause and skip controls. We do not use it for marketing.
• Internet access — to search for music online, stream it, and download the tracks you choose.

You can withdraw any of these at any time in your device settings. Some features stop working without them, but the app will not punish you for saying no.

CnvMP3 is free, and ads pay for it. Ads are served through Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID along with limited usage signals in order to choose ads and measure whether they worked.

You control this. In your device settings under Privacy → Ads you can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation entirely — you will still see ads, but they will be less targeted.

Google's own handling of that data is covered by their policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we show a consent prompt before serving personalised ads, and we honour your answer.

Search results and streams come from publicly available third-party sources. When you download a track it is written to the Music/CnvMP3 folder on your own device. It is never routed through or copied to our servers.

Hamo Apps does not host, own or distribute copyrighted music. All rights remain with their respective owners. You are responsible for making sure your use of downloaded material is lawful where you live.

To be unambiguous about the things we are often asked about:

• We do not require an account, so there is no login or password.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
• We do not access your photos, camera or microphone.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not upload your music library, playlists or favourites.
• We do not sell your data — ever.

CnvMP3 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Everything the app stores — downloaded songs, favourites, playlists, trimmed clips and search history — lives on your device and stays there until you remove it.

Uninstalling CnvMP3 deletes the data the app manages. Files you downloaded into the public Music/CnvMP3 folder are yours and are deliberately left in place, so uninstalling never wipes your music. Delete that folder yourself if you want it gone.

Crash reports and ad measurement data are retained by their providers under their own retention schedules.

At any time, without asking us, you can:

• Revoke the audio or notification permission in your device settings.
• Reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation.
• Delete any downloaded track from the in-app Downloads screen.
• Clear your local search history from within the app.
• Uninstall the app to remove all app-managed data.

If you want to ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, email us at the address in section 12 and we will respond within 30 days.

Network requests the app makes are encrypted in transit. Because we hold so little data in the first place, there is very little about you to expose.

That said, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot promise absolute security — only that we minimise what we collect, which is the most effective protection available.

We may update this policy as the app changes or the law requires. The Last updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current revision, and significant changes will be highlighted inside the app.

Continuing to use CnvMP3 after an update means you accept the revised policy.
